New Fire TV Stick 4K Models, Updated Fire HD 10 Tablets, and Echo Show 8

Amazon recently held its fall launch event, unveiling a range of new devices in the Fire, Echo, and Eero lineups. The highlights include updated Fire TV Stick 4K models, a new Fire TV soundbar, and the latest Echo Show and Echo Hub models. Additionally, Amazon introduced the Wi-Fi 7 cable Eero Max 7 router and updated Fire HD 10 tablets.

Fire TV Stick 4K Max (2023) and Fire TV Stick 4K (2023)

The Fire TV Stick 4K Max (2023) takes the top spot in the Fire TV Stick lineup, featuring the Fire TV Ambient Experience. This feature transforms your TV or monitor into an Alexa-powered smart display, showcasing artworks, personal photos, and useful cards for weather, news, calendar updates, and show recommendations. Amazon has also integrated Generative AI into Fire TV's voice search for more natural and conversational content discovery.

The Fire TV Stick 4K Max (2023) boasts a new 2.0 GHz quad-core processor and is the first streaming stick to support Wi-Fi 6E connectivity. It offers seamless streaming of up to 4K Ultra HD content with Dolby Vision HDR and HDR 10+. The storage capacity has been increased to 16GB, and Amazon is bundling six months of complimentary MGM+ streaming with the device.

The Fire TV Stick 4K Max (2023) is priced at £69.99 and is currently available for pre-order. Open sales will begin on October 18.

Amazon has also introduced the Fire TV Stick 4K (2023) which brings Wi-Fi 6 connectivity and an improved 1.7GHz processor, offering 30% faster performance compared to its predecessor. It supports streaming of up to 4K Ultra HD content with Dolby Vision HDR and HDR 10+, but does not feature the Fire TV Ambient Experience.

The Fire TV Stick 4K (2023) is priced at £59.99 and is already available for pre-order. Open sales will start on October 19.

Fire HD 10 (2023) Tablets

The updated Fire HD 10 (2023) tablets come with some minor tweaks to enhance the user experience. They feature a 10.01-inch IPS LCD display with a resolution of 1,200 x 1,920 pixels and stereo speakers. The tablets are equipped with the MediaTek MT8186A chipset, 3GB of RAM, and 32/64GB of storage, expandable via a microSD card slot.

The tablets run on Fire OS 8 and offer a battery life of up to 13 hours. They come with a headphone jack and Bluetooth 5.3 connectivity.

Fire TV Soundbar

The Fire TV Soundbar is Amazon's first soundbar product under the Fire TV brand. It features a two-channel stereo setup with support for DTS Virtual:X and Dolby Audio sound.

The Fire TV Soundbar offers Bluetooth and HDMI input with ARC and eARC support for uncompressed audio playback. It is priced at £119.99.

Echo Show 8 (2023)

Amazon's latest iteration of the Echo Show 8 (2023) features a sleeker design with slimmer bezels and a faster processor for quicker smart home requests. It boasts updated speakers with spatial audio support, delivering improved clarity and bass reproduction. The Echo Show 8 (2023) also comes with a new 13MP camera for video calls and enhanced background noise reduction. It supports Matter, Zigbee, Sidewalk, Thread, and Bluetooth smart hub protocols.

The Echo Show 8 (2023) is available in white and black colors, and it is priced at £169.99.

Echo Hub (2023)

The Echo Hub (2023) is Amazon's latest wall-mountable smart home control panel. It features an 8-inch touchscreen with an updated UI that includes widget controls for smart home appliances.

The Echo Hub (2023) supports Matter, Zigbee, Sidewalk, Thread, and Bluetooth smart hub protocols. It can be connected to Wi-Fi or Ethernet with Power-over-Ethernet (PoE) support. The Echo Hub (2023) is priced at £169.99.

Eero Max 7 Router

Amazon's Eero Max 7 router is designed to offer high-speed Wi-Fi 7 connectivity with support for three wireless bands - 2.4GHz, 5GHz, and 6GHz. It claims to deliver ethernet speeds of up to 9.4 Gbps and wireless speeds of up to 4.3 Gbps. The router can support up to 200 connected devices.

Amazon is offering the Eero Max 7 router at a price of £599.99 for a single unit and £1,699.99 for a 3-pack.
