Addressing the concerns of Huawei leveraging the agreement for its benefit, Zhang stated that IP cross-licensing agreements are a common industry practice and will create value for both parties involved. It is not about Huawei using Ericsson as a vehicle into Europe, but rather a recognition of the industry's role in the IP field and the mutual recognition of each company's IP value.
