DXOMARK evaluates smartphones based on six criteria:

2. Color Production: Evaluates the accuracy of color reproduction.
3. Video Performance: Tests how well the smartphones handle standard and high dynamic range videos.
4. Motion Handling: Assesses the ability to handle dynamic content.
5. Touch Accuracy: Measures the accuracy, responsiveness, and smoothness of touch controls.
6. Artifacts: Checks for display performance, motion flaws, image rendering, reflectance, and flickering.

Google Pixel 8 Excels in Display Evaluation

The Google Pixel 8 series scores high in all the criteria. The devices achieve impressive scores in color rendering and readability, surpassing even the Xiaomi Mix Fold 2. With a score of 122 in the artifact category, the Pixel 8 series displays perform exceptionally well.

Current Display Ranking

The current DXOMARK display ranking places the Google Pixel 8 series and the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5 at the top two positions. The Pixel 8 series achieves an overall score of 154, while the Z Fold 5 scores 152. These devices are followed by the Google Pixel Fold and Honor Magic5 Pro, which score 151. The recently released iPhone 15 Pro Max holds the 6th position with an overall score of 149, sharing the same score with the iPhone 14 Pro Max, iPhone 14 Pro, and Galaxy Z Filp5.
