How Much is Bud Spencer Worth?
Bud Spencer, born Carlo Pedersoli on October 31, 1929, in Naples, Italy, is an Italian actor, filmmaker, and former professional swimmer. He has a net worth of $500 thousand. In addition to his successful acting career, Spencer was the first Italian to swim the 100-meter freestyle in less than a minute. He competed as a swimmer on the Italian National Team at the Olympic Summer games in Helsinki, Finland (1952) and Melbourne, Australia (1956). Spencer also excelled as an Olympic-class water polo player.

Although he initially pursued a career as an attorney, Spencer's passion for acting led him to make his film debut as a member of the Praetorian Guard in MGM's epic film, Quo Vadis (1951), shot in Italy. However, it wasn't until 1967, when he started performing under the name Bud Spencer as a tribute to Spencer Tracy and Budweiser beer, that his career truly took off. He appeared in numerous films made for the Italian market in the '50s and first half of the '60s before achieving international success in spaghetti Westerns.

One of his most successful collaborations was with fellow Italian actor Terence Hill. Together, they made several international hits, including Ace High (1968) and They Call Me Trinity (1970). In total, Spencer and Hill made 18 movies together. While Spencer's movie career slowed down after 1983, he experienced success in the early '90s with the TV action-drama series Extralarge. Spencer also wrote screenplays and holds several registered patents.

In 2005, Spencer entered politics and stood as a regional councillor in Lazio for the center-right Forza Italia party.
