Westermo has been operating in Dublin for more than two decades under the Virtual Access brand. The company specializes in producing and shipping telecoms equipment.

The expansion includes hiring talented individuals for roles in engineering, research, supply chain, and support. To accommodate its growing team and expansion plans, Westermo has established a new site in Dublin dedicated to R&D and supply chain activities.

The expansion in Dublin reflects the close collaboration between Westermo's development and deployment teams, which strengthens the company's technical expertise and support in securing strategic framework agreements in critical infrastructure markets worldwide.

The Government of Ireland is providing support for Westermo's expansion through IDA Ireland. Dara Calleary, TD, Minister of State for Trade Promotion, Digital and Company Regulation, expressed his encouragement for the company's growth in Ireland.
