Notably, Israel has pledged not to block the delivery of food, water, and medicine to Gaza. Recently, a US-based humanitarian organization provided 47,000 hot meals to Palestinians in Gaza, according to NPR.

Dr. Richard Brennan, the World Health Organization's Regional Emergency Director for the Eastern Mediterranean Region, expressed that while the US-Israel-Egypt aid deal is a positive start, challenges like damaged roads and infrastructure remain to be addressed, as reported by CNN.

Guterres emphasized the importance of El Arish airport and the Rafah Crossing, situated at the Egypt-Gaza Strip border, as essential lifelines for the people of Gaza. To ensure aid passage, Egypt has dispatched work crews to repair damaged roads, as reported by NBC News.

This Israel-Hamas war is the deadliest of the five Gaza conflicts, with casualties exceeding 4,000 on both sides. Over a million individuals have been displaced, fleeing from Israel's invasion aimed at eliminating Hamas. Countless civilians, journalists, and hostages have also been injured and affected by the ongoing violence.
