Jim Belushi was born James Adam Belushi on June 15, 1954, in Chicago, Illinois. He grew up with mother Agnes, father Adam, and siblings John, Marian, and Billy. Belushi was a member of The Second City in Chicago from 1977 to 1980, a few years after John had worked with the improv comedy group. Jim made his onscreen acting debut in the late '70s with an uncredited role in the 1978 film "The Fury" and a role on NBC's "Who's Watching the Kids?" (1978–1979). In 1979, he played Ernie O'Rourke on the CBS sitcom "Working Stiffs" alongside Michael Keaton, then he appeared in the film "Thief" (1981) and the television show "Laverne & Shirley" (1982). Jim married Sandra Davenport on May 17, 1980, and they had son Robert (born October 23, 1980) before divorcing in 1988.
